Dr. Tansar Mir was also selected as one of “40 Forty Under Forty” exemplary graduates from Stony Brook University in 2016, an honor only bestowed upon 5 medical students out of over 2000. Dr. Tansar Mir is a native New Yorker and was inducted into his high school (Farmingdale High School) Wall of Fame in 2014. Dr. Mir graduated with a BA in Neuroscience from Franklin & Marshall College and then went on to receive his medical degree from SUNY at Stony Brook School of Medicine. He then completed five years of General Surgery residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC followed by Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Residency at Nassau University Medical Center/ Long Island Plastic Surgical Group.
